Sunday October 8, 2017 – 12pm-5pm

Football

The St. Sebastian Sports Project and Holy Trinity school are partnering to host a B football Jamboree tournament that is free to all participating CYO schools. Teams are guaranteed 3 games and players will receive free lunch. The location is San Pedro Girls Softball Complex, a secure US Navy property that is fenced and guarded for the safety. Games are played on 2 well-manicured CYO regulation size football fields. We recommend bringing your own beach chairs and/or large pop up shade tents. There are restroom facilities, picnic tables and play areas for the younger kids.

No charge for tournament entry or spectator admission!

Directions: Harbor Freeway (110) South to the Anaheim Street off ramp. The Anaheim exit will put you onto Figueroa Place. Turn left onto Figueroa Place and get into the right lane immediately. Make a right onto Anaheim Street and drive about 1 mile to the first major intersection (which has 5 converging street lights). Stay in the far left lane and turn hard left at the light (you are almost back tracking) onto Gaffey Street. As soon as you turn left onto Gaffey, get in the right lane. The fields are on the immediate right. Turn into the parking lots.

If you are coming from the Long Beach area and are exiting off the Vincent Thomas Bridge, you will end up at the traffic light on Gaffey street. Turn right onto Gaffey and drive north about 1.5 miles to the SP Girls Softball complex on the left side of the road. The facility is 100 yards beyond the SP Girls Bobby Sox field and just past the fuel depot. PARKING is available at the softball complex and the baseball diamond next door. Please do not park in the baseball spots. There is plenty of space available. Thank You

Who We Are

The Saint Sebastian Sports Project, Inc. (SSSP) is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to provide increased opportunity for Catholic school students in economically challenged areas to participate in organized sports programs at their schools. Simply put, we would like for all Catholic school students to have the opportunity to learn the skills, experience the growth and share in the fun found in participating in organized sports. Our efforts are focused on deserving resource challenged Catholic schools located in and around the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. To achieve our goals, we raise funds annually to assist our participating schools in obtaining and paying for the basic necessities of a youth sports program, such as:

We also seek to enhance the Catholic students sporting experience by:

The intent is for Catholic school students to play on a team for their school, have the opportunity to learn the skills required to participate in a sport, learn the life lessons that team sports provide and to have a fun time while playing an organized sport.
