An effort in 1950 to combine a number of schools under one administrator resulted in the inception of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This was one of the many schools conceptualized by Cardinal McIntrye, who delegated the Columban Sisters to staff the newly opened school. High standards of excellence push students into achieving their goals of academic excellence. This high standard also helps students achieve outside of the classroom grounded in morality taught by the Gospels. The focus on community service in partnership with rigorous academics facilitates the creation of lifelong learners.
