Our Lady of Lourdes

In 1910, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish was established by Bishop Thomas Conaty in East Los Angeles. Four years later, the school opened and was staffed by Immaculate Heart Sisters and the Presentation Sisters. Within 30 years enrollment expanded to 1,000 students, one of the biggest Catholic schools in the West. With a focus on leadership, Our Lady of Lourdes combines Catholic teachings, motivated faculty, and inspired students to achieve the highest level of success. Our Lady of Lourdes implemented the Schoolwide Learning Expectations of critical thinkers, active catholics, responsible citizens, and effective communicators.
