The Adrian Dominican Sisters established Saint Raphael in 1947 as part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Saint Raphael prides itself in its year-to-year growth in standardized test scores and its significant percentage of graduates who matriculate to some of the best Catholic Charter and Magnet high schools in Los Angeles. Saint Raphael has full accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), is know for its high quality vocal and instrumental music program and its sports programs (funded in part by Saint Sebastian Sports Project). Catholic education is an integral part of Saint Raphael, and this is prevalent through their commitment to prayer and religious instruction. Saint Raphael serves transitional kindergarten through 8th grade.
